From and after the passage of this article, it shall be unlawful
within the limits of this Borough for any person to spit on any sidewalk,
doorstep, building, window, cellar door, street crossing or in any
opera house or any public place where assemblages of people gather
for worship, entertainment or other purposes, except in receptacles
provided for the purpose.
Any person violating the first section of this article shall,
upon conviction before the Mayor or any Magisterial District Judge
of said Borough, pay a fine of $1 for the first offense and $2 for
any subsequent offense, with cost of suit, for the use of the Borough,
and stand committed until the sentence is complied with.
