A. 
Any person maintaining electric wires for whatever purpose shall keep such wiring so arranged, insulated and protected so as to conform to the current edition of the National Fire Protection Association Electrical Code and approved by the American Standards Association. Any wiring designed to convey electricity found, by the authority empowered to grant a permit or any authority empowered to enforce any part of this article, to be in an unsafe condition or any wiring cut or removed by the Fire Department in the discharge of its duties must be repaired or replaced by the owner or lessee in accordance with said codes and in a safe and proper manner. Whether such repair or replacement is in conformity with such codes is a fact to be determined by the Fire Prevention Division.

B. 
Notwithstanding any provisions, conditions and directives contained in the NFPA Electrical Code and/or the American Standards Association, no aluminum wire shall be used for electrical installations of any kind in any building or residence hereafter constructed in the Town. This restriction shall include alterations to existing electrical service, except that aluminum cable or copper cable may be used as a service entrance cable on the line side of the building service panel.
