All applicants for the position of fire fighter with the City
of Yonkers shall be fingerprinted, and the fingerprints shall be submitted
to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for processing
and reporting. Any processing fee charged by the Division of Criminal
Justice shall be submitted by the applicant at the time of application.
The past conduct which would preclude an applicant from appointment
as a fire fighter shall be as set forth in Rule 3.2 of the New York
State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. However, in making any
appointment or disqualifying any applicant, the appointing authority
must consider and apply the provisions and standards of §§ 752
and 753 of the Correction Law.
