[Adopted as Ch. XVIII of the Town Bylaws]
No person, firm or corporation shall cut standing or fallen
timber, trees, bushes, flowers or shrubs on any Town land, nor shall
they remove the same from any Town land, each of the foregoing being
a separate offense. No person, firm or corporation shall dig and/or remove
any loam, peat, sand, gravel or dirt from any Town-owned land.
The provisions of §
298-1 shall not apply to Town employees or boards acting in due course of their employment or duties, nor shall the provisions of §
298-1 apply to persons, firms or corporations performing under a written contract or work order duly executed with the Town board having jurisdiction of the particular parcel of land.
