When the activity is conducted from a fixed location or from a vehicle, the permit shall be prominently displayed at either the location or on the vehicle. In all other cases, the person engaging in the activity shall have the permit in his possession at all times and shall display it upon the request of any police officer or any person with whom he is doing business.
Only the actual permit form issued by the Township may be displayed. A permit shall not be duplicated or reproduced in any way or manner and the display of any such duplicate or reproduced permit by anyone who is engaged in activities otherwise lawful and permitted shall constitute a violation of this chapter subject to the penalties provided despite the existence of a valid permit in force issued to the offending person or persons.
Every permit shall apply only to the person, partnership, corporation or group to whom it was issued and shall not be transferable. It shall be a violation by the person to whom the permit is issued to allow an unauthorized person to use or display the license.
Every permit shall expire at 12:00 midnight local time on December 31 of the year of issuance. Persons holding permits valid for the current year may renew their permits for the subsequent year during the month of December of the current year, or at the time of resuming business activities during the subsequent year.
A.
Except as might otherwise be set forth herein, the fee for each permit shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
B.
Whenever duplicate permits are deemed necessary (i.e., a maximum of four per each permit and application) due to the number of participating employees, agents or partners taking part in the licensed activity in one or more locations at the same time, the fee for the initial permit issued shall be the same as that authorized within § 177-11A and the fee for each additional duplicate permit shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors, irrespective of when it is issued.
C.
The permit fee for a senior citizen aged 65 years or older, or for a person who is physically handicapped as to sight, hearing or mobility shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. Permits issued to senior citizens and handicapped persons shall apply to those persons only and shall not apply to any person not a senior citizen or handicapped person who may be engaged in the same activities as their partner or working as their employee or agent. Any person aforesaid who is not handicapped physically and is under the age of 65 years yet is engaged as the partner, employee or agent of a senior citizen or handicapped person shall pay a fee as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
D.
The fees to be paid by those persons qualifying for group permits are set forth in § 177-4A(1) of this chapter.
E.
Any and all of the fees set forth in this chapter may be changed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors as they shall determine to be in the best interests of Marlborough Township.
