No person or corporation shall do any electrical construction
work, whether original work or alterations, without obtaining from
the Inspector of Wires a written permit to do such work.
The Inspector of Wires is hereby authorized to enforce the rules
and regulations as contained and provided in the most recent version
of the Massachusetts Electrical Code (527 CMR 12.00) of the Board
of Fire Prevention Regulations, modifying the National Electrical
Code, and/or any and all other applicable statutory and regulatory
provisions which may be enforced pursuant to MGL c. 166, §§ 32
and 33, for the installation of electric wiring and apparatus, and
in accordance with the provisions and requirements therein contained.
The Inspector of Wires shall perform his/her duties as per MGL
c. 166, § 32, and as later amended.
