It shall be unlawful for any person to own or keep a dog or
cat six months or more of age unless he shall procure an annual license
therefor from the Village Clerk.
The owner of any dog or cat shall present to the Village Clerk
a valid rabies vaccination certificate signed by a veterinarian within
the previous 12 months. Said person must report his own name and address
and the name, breed, color and sex of the animal being licensed.

All animal licenses shall expire on April 15 of each year.

Annual and other animal license fees shall be as described in Chapter
150, Fees, Fines and Charges, Article 3.
The Village Clerk shall issue a license and tag for each dog
and cat licensed as provided for herein. Said license may be issued
during any month in the calendar year. Said tag shall bear a number
corresponding with the certificate, Village identification and the
month and year of the rabies inoculation.

No more than three dogs or cats, or combination thereof, may
be licensed to be kept at any family dwelling.
Every dog or cat within the Village shall be provided by its
owner with a suitable collar or harness, to which the license tag
provided must be securely fastened, and which shall be worn at all
times when the animal is off the premises of the registered owner.
It shall be unlawful for any person, other than the owner, to remove
a license tag from a dog or cat.
