No person either as owner or as possessor of any land within
the corporate limits of the City shall permit any dead tree to remain
on said land, if the branches thereof extend over any sidewalk, street,
alley or other public thoroughfare.

A. It shall
be unlawful for any person to cut any tree or any branch or limb so
that the same may fall upon or against any electric light pole or
any electric light wire within the corporate limits of the City.
B. Any person
desiring to trim any tree or cut any tree where the same will touch
or interfere in any way with an electric light pole or any electric
light wire shall notify the Superintendent of the City light plant,
if said pole or wire belongs to the City of Chillicothe, or the Superintendent
of any other company to which said electric light pole or wire may
belong, and it shall be the duty of said Superintendent to send a
competent person to oversee the cutting of said tree or the trimming
thereof.

Every person owning or occupying any building in this City shall
cause pipes conducting water from the eaves of the building to be
so constructed or altered as not to spread the water over the sidewalk
or into any sanitary sewer.

No person shall place or permit to be placed or remain on or
along any railing or building front or any part of any building, fence
or premises, adjacent or contiguous to any street or sidewalk, any
spikes, sharp or pointed cresting or any barbed wire fence next to
any sidewalk or any other thing dangerous and liable to snag, tear,
cut or otherwise injure anyone coming in contact therewith.

It shall be unlawful for any person, other than the owner or
employee of the owner, to climb any of the telephone, telegraph or
electric light poles located in the City or to injure, molest or interfere
in any manner with such poles or any of the wires thereon or connections
therewith.

It shall be unlawful for any person to allow or permit any trash,
brush, metal objects or other injurious items to be pulled or dragged
upon the City streets which may cause any damage to the streets.

A. The City
Street Commissioner is hereby authorized and empowered to erect temporary
signs indicating no parking or limited parking upon either or both
sides of any street within the City at such times and places as deemed
necessary and proper by the Street Commissioner for the safe and orderly
progress of traffic during street construction and maintenance projects
within the City.
B. It shall
be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to permit any vehicle
to park or stand in any area designated by said temporary no parking
or limited parking signs erected by the Street Commissioner.
C. Any person,
firm or corporation who violates the conditions set forth by these
temporary signs shall be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars
($5.00) or more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or by imprisonment
for a term not to exceed five (5) days, or both such fine and confinement
together with the costs of the court.

Every person, firm, corporation, LLC or partnership that shall violate any of the provisions of this Chapter
505 upon conviction shall be punished under the provisions of Section
100.340 of the City Code.
