All interments made in Oakdale Municipal Cemetery and I.O.O.F.
Municipal Cemetery in the City shall be made in concrete boxes, concrete
vaults, metal vaults or polypropylene co-polymer air seal vaults.

A. Under
every grave marker or monument in all City owned cemeteries, there
shall be an eighteen (18) inch concrete footing the same width and
length of the marker or monument. The marker or monument bases cannot
exceed twenty-four (24) inches in width or length of the grave spaces
owned.
B. All
markers in the Blocks 1 — 12 inclusive of the New (South) Addition
of Oakdale Municipal Cemetery shall be ground level, and no larger
than twenty-four (24) inches.
C. It
shall be the responsibility of the monument company to verify with
cemetery personnel, prior to placement of any marker, that said marker
complies with the requirements of this Section. If any monument company
fails to comply with the marker requirements set forth herein or fails
to verify compliance, said company shall be liable for the cost of
removal of any marker placed by it, upon ten (10) days notice of the
violation, for the removal of the marker or the reasonable cost incurred
by the City for removal of the same.
D. IOOF, 3rd Addition, Blocks 61, 62, 71, and 72 are reserved for a
future columbarium. IOOF, 3rd Addition, Blocks 59, and 60 are reserved
for above ground mausoleums. Above ground mausoleums can only be placed
in IOOF, 3rd Addition, Blocks 59 and 60.

The City Council has approved the Cemetery Handbook for the
City of Monett, which is on file in the City offices and incorporated
herein by reference.

B. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign any and all documents required to sell and/or convey a lot or lots as allowed under Subsection
(A) of this Section of the Monett Municipal Code and sold for the prescribed prices.
C. Fees
will be waived for grave openings and spaces for infants to five (5)
years old when interred in the Cox Cemetery.

All funds received by the City for the opening and sale of grave
spaces shall be deposited in the General Fund of the City.

There is hereby created a Cemetery Board for the City, to consist
of seven (7) members, to be appointed by the City Council. Each of
such members shall serve for a term of three (3) years; provided,
that upon the initial appointment of such Board, two (2) of such members
shall serve one (1) year, two (2) of such members shall serve two
(2) years and three (3) of such members shall serve three (3) years.

It shall be the duty of the Cemetery Board to observe, supervise
and familiarize itself with the condition and operation of the cemeteries
owned by the City. The Board shall receive suggestions from the public
concerning the operation and maintenance of such cemeteries. The Board
shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council and shall submit
at least once each year, and at such other times as required by the
Council, a written report of its opinion concerning the condition
and operation of the cemeteries, together with the Board's recommendations
concerning the maintenance and operation of the cemeteries.

The Cemetery Board shall organize itself and adopt rules and
by-laws governing its organization, methods of functioning and meetings.

Members of the Cemetery Board shall receive no compensation
for their services.
