No person shall move into and occupy any building in the City without first obtaining an occupancy permit in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter 425, or if applicable, the provisions of Section 505.030 (D) of the Municipal Code of the City of Warson Woods. Unless otherwise required by Section 505.030, a person who occupies any building in the City as of the date of enactment of this Chapter shall not be required to obtain an occupancy permit.

Any person proposing to move into and occupy any building in the City shall file an application for an occupancy permit with the City Clerk within ten (10) days prior to the date of proposed occupancy. Any adult member of the household may file an application on behalf of persons who will live in the residence. No application shall be required for children born to or adopted by an occupant. There is no filing fee for an application or issuance of an occupancy permit under the provisions of this Chapter 425.

A. 
The application for an occupancy permit shall include the following information:
1. 
Name of the applicant and each additional person who will occupy the residence.
2. 
Relationship of each additional person to the applicant.
3. 
Address of the residence to be occupied.
4. 
Name and address of owner of the residence if other than the applicant.
5. 
Such additional information as the applicant may elect to provide such as telephone number and/or name, address and telephone number of employer or business.

No occupancy permit may be issued if any fees or taxes applicable to the residence are currently due and unpaid at the time of application for the occupancy permit.

The Building Commissioner shall issue an occupancy permit upon completion of the application and a finding that all fees and taxes applicable to the residence which are currently due have been paid.
