A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Warson Woods, being marked and designated as "The BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, Eleventh Edition, 1999", as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Prevention Code of the City of Warson Woods, Missouri, for the control of buildings, structures and premises as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said BOCA National Fire Prevention Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 515.030 of this Chapter. At least one (1) copy of such Code, portion or amendment which is incorporated or adopted by reference, shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk and there kept available for public use, inspection, and examination.

Chapter 515 of the Municipal Code of the City of Warson Woods, Missouri, entitled "Fire Prevention Code" is hereby repealed.

A. 
The following Sections of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, Eleventh Edition as adopted by this Chapter are hereby revised as follows:
1. 
The words "The City of Warson Woods, Missouri" should be inserted in the second line of Section F-100.1, after the words "Fire Prevention Code of".
2. 
The words "as prescribed by Resolution of the Board of Aldermen" should be inserted in the second line of Section F-107.8, after the words "a permit shall not be issued until the designated fees" and before the words "have been paid".
3. 
A new paragraph (5) shall be added to Section F-606.2 "Exceptions" to read as follows:
5. 
In single-family residential structures or for egress doors to individual dwelling units and multiple-family structures.
4. 
Delete Chapter 30 relating to explosives.
5. 
Delete Chapter 31 relating to fireworks.
6. 
The person responsible for the enforcement of this Fire Prevention Code shall be the Chief Official of the Fire Department of the agency which provides fire protection services for the City.

If any Section, Subsection, provision, sentence, clause or phrase of the 1999 BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, 11th Edition is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of remaining portions of said code, and the Board of Aldermen hereby declares that it would have adopted the same comment even though such portions so held to be unconstitutional had not been included herein.
