The Darien water utility is regulated by the Wisconsin Public
Service Commission, Chapter PSC 185.

Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, the meaning
of terms used in this chapter shall be as follows:
1.
BOARD — The duly qualified Village Board of such Village of
Darien, Walworth, Wisconsin.
2.
PERSON — Any individual, firm, company, association, society,
corporation or group.
3.
SHALL — Is mandatory; "may" is permissive.
4.
SUPERINTENDENT — The superintendent of the Darien waterworks
and sewerage system or his or her authorized deputy, agent or representative.
5.
UTILITY — A waterworks system and sanitary sewer system which
have heretofore been combined and are operated and/or to be operated
as a single public utility.
6.
VILLAGE — The Village of Darien, Walworth County, Wisconsin,
and all present and future additions thereto.
