Description. Includes the display of any items outside the confines
of a building which is not otherwise permitted as a permitted or conditional
use, or a special event otherwise regulated by the Village of Darien
Municipal Code. Examples of this land use include but are not limited
to: tent sales, and bratwurst stands. Garage sales are exempt from
the provisions of this title, but shall comply with the requirements
of the Village of Darien Municipal Code.
A. Temporary use regulations: (NC, SC, CC, UI):
1. Display shall be limited to a maximum of 14 days in any calendar
year;
2. Display shall not obstruct pedestrian or vehicular circulation, including
vehicular sight distances;
3. Signage shall comply with the requirements for temporary signs in Chapter
17.62;
4. Adequate parking shall be provided;
5. If subject property is located adjacent to a residential area, sales
and display activities shall be limited to daylight hours;
6. Shall comply with Section
17.72.110, standards and procedures applicable to all temporary uses.

Description. Includes any organized outdoor assembly of more
than 100 persons.
A. Temporary use regulations: (all districts):
1. Activities shall not obstruct pedestrian or vehicular circulation,
including vehicular sight distances;
2. Signage shall comply with the requirements for temporary signs in Chapter
17.62;
3. Adequate parking, drinking water, and toilet facilities shall be
provided;
4. If subject property is located adjacent to a residential area, activities
shall be limited to daylight hours and described in the application;
5. Adequate provisions for crowd control shall be made, and shall be
described within the application;
6. Shall comply with Section
17.72.110, standards and procedures applicable to all temporary uses.

Description. Includes any outdoor display of products not otherwise
regulated by the Village of Darien Municipal Code. Examples of this
land use include but are not limited to: seasonal garden shops and
the display of farm products.
A. Temporary use regulations: (NC, SC, CC, UI):
1. Display shall be limited to a maximum of 180 days in any calendar
year;
2. Display shall not obstruct pedestrian or vehicular circulation, including
vehicular sight distances;
3. Signage shall comply with the requirements for temporary signs in Chapter
17.62;
4. Adequate parking shall be provided;
5. If subject property is located adjacent to a residential area, sales
and display activities shall be limited to daylight hours;
6. Shall comply with Section
17.72.110, standards and procedures applicable to all temporary uses.
