A. No person
shall operate a truck over that part of Gibbs Avenue between Commercial
Street and North Elm Street, also known as 97 Highway, or wherever
a route has been designated by ordinance for no through traffic and
by signs posted in conformity therewith, except for the purpose of
reaching a local destination thereon and stopping such truck at such
destination or for the purpose of reaching some destination which
is impossible to reach by any other street or route; provided, that
in such event the person operating a truck on such street or route
shall operate said truck on such street or route for the minimum distance
required to reach such destination.
B. For the
purposes of this Subsection, a "truck" is defined
to include all trucks and tractors and trailers; provided, that such
term shall not apply to trucks designed and rated for a capacity of
less than three-fourths (¾) of one (1) ton.

A. It shall
be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle upon and along
the following portions of streets in the City of Pierce City during
the hours between 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on any day when school is
in session at the Pierce City R-6 School:
Pierce Street, between the intersection of Pierce Street
and Myrtle Street.
The intersection of Pierce Street and Gibbs Street.
B. The above
described portion of Pierce Street shall be posted with traffic signs
placed at the intersections of Pierce Street and Myrtle Street and
Pierce Street and Gibbs Street with signs stating "TRAFFIC IS RESTRICTED
TO SCHOOL TRAFFIC ONLY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.".
Said signs shall be constructed in such fashion that they may be placed
in the center of the intersection of said streets and shall be faced
so that they are observable from all four (4) directions of traffic
entering said intersections.
C. Said
prohibition shall not apply to residents of any homes located on property
adjoining the restricted portions of Pierce Street nor to any person
or persons visiting residents of said area nor to any person or persons
delivering goods or services to said area.
D. This
Section shall not apply to any person or persons having legitimate
business with the school including but not limited to, those persons
delivering or picking up children from said school.
