There is hereby established the position of Confidential Assistant to the Borough Administrator/Deputy Borough Clerk .

The Confidential Assistant to the Borough Administrator/Deputy Borough Clerk shall be appointed by resolution of the Mayor and Council and shall serve for a term of one year.
The Confidential Assistant to the Borough Administrator/Deputy Borough Clerk shall be responsible for assisting both the Borough Administrator and Borough Clerk in the performance of their duties, including reviewing payroll and accumulated leave of all employees, maintaining personnel files, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and agreements, and assisting in negotiating and preparing contracts. Duties also include preparing press releases and advisories. Responsible for reviewing and processing purchase requisitions. Duties also include creating promotional materials for recreation programs, maintaining recreation applications and issuing permits for use of parks.
