The City of Maysville has been notified by the Missouri Public Service Commission pursuant to Section 393.275, RSMo., 1984, as amended by L. 1985, of the granting of a rate increase to the Union Electric Company[1] for electric services provided to the residents of the City of Maysville.

The Board of Aldermen realizing the need for additional revenues to provide street lighting for the City of Maysville does hereby determine that it is required to maintain the tax rate of its business license tax on the gross receipts of Union Electric Company[1] without reduction.

It is therefore ordained, pursuant to Subsection 2 of Section 393.275, RSMo., 1984 as amended 1985, that the City of Maysville shall maintain a current tax rate of five percent (5%) of the gross receipts on the income generated by Union Electric Company[1] for electrical services rendered within the corporate City limits of the City of Maysville.
