City of Lake Mills, WI Article II Traffic Control

§ 615-8 Through, yield, one-way streets.

Under the authority of §§ 349.07 and 349.10, Wis. Stats., the following through, yield and one-way streets are designated.

A. Through streets. In the interest of public safety, the following streets in the City are hereby declared to be through streets:

B. Yield right-of-way. Provided that signs have been erected and maintained at intersections, all vehicles shall stop before entering a through street and shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the through street or are approaching the intersection on any through street designated herein.

C. One-way streets and alleys. Pursuant to § 349.10, Wis. Stats., the following streets or alleys and parts thereof are declared to be one-way streets and no person shall operate any vehicle thereon except in the indicated direction:

§ 615-9 Four-way stops.

In accordance with the provisions of § 349.07, Wis. Stats., drivers of vehicles shall cause their vehicles to come to a complete stop before entering or proceeding through the following intersections:

§ 615-10 Stop signs, placement.

In accordance with the authority granted by § 349.07, Wis. Stats., unless otherwise designated within this article, stop signs shall be installed at the intersections of streets where they cross through streets and also at the specific intersections designated herein.

§ 615-11 Traffic control at intersections.

Right-of-way intersections shall be designated in accordance with the authority granted by § 349.08, Wis. Stats., and yield right-of-way signs shall be installed at the following intersections:

§ 615-12 School crossing zones.

School crossing zone intersections shall be designated in accordance with the authority granted by Wis. Stats. § 346.57(4)(b) and "school crossing" signs shall be installed at the following intersections:

§ 615-13 Prohibited turns.

The operator of a vehicle shall not turn the vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction upon a highway at any of the following places:

A. At any place where signs prohibiting such turn have been erected by the authority in charge of the maintenance of the highway, and such places shall include the following:

(1) The entire length of Birch Street from East Grant Street to Pine Street.

B. At any place prohibited under § 346.33, Wisconsin Statutes.
