A.
The Board of Aldermen shall establish an ordinance that all fees
owed to the City of Velda Village Hills must be paid in full before
an inspection can be ordered.
B.
It shall be unlawful for any realtor or owner to request the St. Louis County Department of Public Works
to inspect any real property located in the City of Velda Village
Hills without first checking with Velda Village Hills City Hall to
see if there are any outstanding fees owed on said property. If it
is found that said outstanding fees exist, no inspections shall be
made.
C.
If any said realtor or owner shall violate this Section and give
permission to another to occupy the premises, the said person/persons
will be subject to a fine not less than five hundred dollars ($500.00)
and not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

A.
In order to promote the safety of the residents of the City, a work
permit shall be required prior to the commencement of any exterior
modification. Said modification shall include but not be limited to
plumbing, electrical, roofing, siding, painting, fences, and the construction
of interior walls.
B.
Said work permit shall be required by a contractor.
C.
Said work permit shall be available at the City Hall during regular
business hours. The cost of said work permit shall be thirty-five
dollars ($35.00).
