A Village treasurer shall be nominated by the Village President,
subject to appointment by the majority of members of Council.
The term of the Village Treasurer shall be for an indefinite
period, which shall terminate either upon the submission of a written
notice of resignation from the Village Treasurer to the Village Council
or upon removal of the Village Treasurer from office by a vote of
two-thirds of the members of Council.
This article shall apply beginning with the first term the nomination
deadline for which would have been not less than 30 days after the
effective date of the ordinance from which this article derives or
shall apply when the office of Village Treasurer is vacated, whichever
occurs first.
