The Village Council shall meet on the first and third Mondays of each month and, if a meeting day shall fall on a national holiday, such meeting shall be held on the next day not a holiday. Meetings shall commence at 7:00 p.m. by the prevailing time or as soon thereafter as a quorum is in attendance.

No business shall be transacted at any special meeting except such as is stated in the notice to be the object of the meeting.

The President and each Trustee shall receive compensation for the performance of the duties of the office of president or trustee only as provided by ordinance. The ordinance shall specify how the compensation is determined due and paid. Except as otherwise provided by law, these officers shall receive no other compensation for services performed for and on behalf of the Village during their term of office. Except as otherwise provided in MCLA § 64.21 or by other law regulating fees for services, other officers shall receive such compensation as may be prescribed by the Council.
