A Council on Aging as authorized by Chapter
495 of the Acts of 1956 as amended is hereby established.
The name of the Council shall be the Fairhaven
Council on Aging.

The Council shall consist of seven members appointed
by the Select Board. The initial Council appointed after the acceptance
of this amendment shall consist of three members appointed for terms
of three years; two members appointed for terms of two years; and
two members appointed for terms of one year. Thereafter, when the
term of any member expires, his or her successor shall be appointed
for a term of three years. In all cases, the members of the Council
shall serve until their successors are qualified.
