[The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs is authorized to administer and enforce the State Uniform Construction Codes in the City of Corbin City. The Common Council may, from time to time, adopt such resolution or resolutions necessary to cooperate with the Department in the implementation and enforcement of the provisions of the Uniform Construction Codes within the City.]
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:27D-126(e) no person shall be charged a construction permit surcharge fee or enforcing agency fee for any construction, reconstruction, alteration or improvement designed and undertaken solely to promote accessibility by disabled person to an existing public or private structure or any of the facilities therein. Additionally, a disabled person, or a parent or sibling of a disabled person, shall not be required to pay any municipal fee or charge in order to secure a construction permit for any construction, reconstruction, alteration or improvement which promotes accessibility to his or her own living unit.
