§ A110-1 Number of wards.

On and after January 1, 1968, the number of wards existing in the City of Corbin City, County of Atlantic, shall be diminished and reduced to one.

§ A110-2 Number of Councilmen.

On and after such date of January 1, 1968, and on the readjustment of wards as aforesaid, there shall be elected to the Common Council henceforth two Councilmen to represent said ward.

§ A110-3 Councilman at Large.

In addition to the two Councilmen to be elected from said wards, there shall also be elected a Councilman at Large by all the legal voters of said City.

§ A110-4 Terms of office.

The term of office of said Councilmen represented the newly created ward in the City of Corbin City shall be three years, and the term of office of the Councilman at Large under this act shall be four years.

§ A110-5 Cessation of certain offices.

The offices of the present Councilmen whose terms of office expire on December 31, 1967, shall cease to exist, and no vacancies shall exist at the expiration of their terms.

§ A110-6 Completion of unexpired terms.

Any Councilman of the City of Corbin City presently serving an unexpired term of a previous Councilman shall serve until the next general election at which a successor would have been elected, except that under this ordinance there will be no vacancy to fill at such election.

§ A110-7 Continuance in office of certain Council members.

The present members of the Common Council whose terms of office extend beyond December 31, 1967, shall continue to serve as members of the Common Council of the City of Corbin City until the expiration of their present terms.

§ A110-8 Continuance in office of incumbent Councilman at Large.

The Councilman at Large who is presently serving as such as a member of the Common Council of the City of Corbin City shall continue to serve as such Councilman at Large beyond December 31, 1967, and until his term of office expires.

§ A110-9 Ward boundaries.

The boundary lines of said newly created ward of the City of Corbin City shall be the same as and contiguous with the boundary lines of the City of Corbin City, and a map defining said lines of said ward and showing the extent and boundaries of such shall be made and filed in the office of the City Clerk, with a description or statement of such lines, all of which shall be adopted and certified to by the Mayor of said City of Corbin City and a duplicate thereof filed in the County Clerk's office of the County of Atlantic.

§ A110-10 Number of election districts.

The newly created ward, as aforesaid, shall constitute one election district of said City of Corbin City, and boundaries of said election district shall be the same as those of the ward, as aforesaid.

§ A110-11 Notification of county board; Board of Registry and Elections.

Upon the final passage and adoption of this ordinance, the County Board of Registration shall be notified of the change in election districts in the said City of Corbin City and shall appoint a Board of Registry and Elections for the said newly created election district in said City of Corbin City, and the said newly appointed Board of Registry and Elections shall conduct all elections held in said district henceforth.

§ A110-12 Tax Assessor; term.

With the diminishing and reduction of said wards in the City of Corbin City into one ward, there shall be one Tax Assessor forth said newly created ward, whose term of office shall begin July 1, 1971, and shall be for a term of four years.
