The Village of Ridgewood seasonal skate park facility is located adjacent to the Lester Stable, 259 North Maple Avenue.
A. 
Hours of operation. The facility will be available to the general public after the close of the hockey season, from approximately mid-April through mid-October. Hours of use shall be daily from 9:00 a.m. to sunset.
B. 
Conditions of usage:
(1) 
The skate park facility is limited to use by skateboards and in-line skates only.
(2) 
The skate park facility is a skate at your own risk, nonsupervised facility.
(3) 
All skaters are to inspect the skating surfaces before use and to remove all trash, debris, and other objects that may prevent a safe, smooth riding experience. Any damage is to be reported immediately to the Village of Ridgewood Director of Parks and Recreation, Lester Stable, 259 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood New Jersey.
(4) 
Skater protective equipment is required at all times (i.e., helmets, elbow, wrist, and knee pads and protectors).
(5) 
The skate park has been designed for beginner to intermediate skill levels. All users are expected to be courteous to others using the facility and the nearby park.
(6) 
Parking for use of the skate park is at the Graydon Pool north parking lot at the corner of Linwood Avenue and Northern Parkway.
C. 
Membership badge required.
(1) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to use the seasonal skate park facility or to enter upon its grounds thereof during the aforedescribed season without having first obtained a photo-identification membership badge provided for such. The membership badge shall be carried and exhibited by the person to whom it is issued at all times while at the seasonal skate park facility or its grounds and is part of the user accountability for the facility. The membership badge process includes a hold-harmless waiver to be executed by the badge holder or parent/guardian if under 18.
(2) 
All organized groups of 10 or more individuals shall first obtain a group use permit from the Parks and Recreation Department (no charge). All members of the group shall have membership badges in their possession.
D. 
Conduct. The following conduct by users of the seasonal skate park facility is prohibited. Violations shall result in the removal of the offending party from the premises.
(1) 
Possession of food, beverages, alcohol, tobacco or controlled substances.
(2) 
Use of the skate park during inclement weather (rain, snow, hail, or when the facility surfaces are wet).
(3) 
Use of the skate park during scheduled instructional programs by Village of Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department or during skate park maintenance periods.
(4) 
It is recommended that all children under the age of 18 years shall be supervised by an adult or guardian.
(5) 
No pets allowed.
(6) 
Use of profane, loud, threatening, or indecent language. No loud music.
(7) 
No alcoholic beverages are or will be permitted in the building or on adjacent Village of Ridgewood property for any meeting or function.
(8) 
No smoking within the skate park or the surrounding parklands.

(9) 
Skate park users shall not park a motor vehicle in the parking lot for Lester Stable (N.J.S.A. 39:4-56.6).
(10) 
Use of the skate park without displaying a valid photo-identification membership badge.
(11) 
Use in the skate park of bicycles, roller skates, go-peds, scooters, and/or any other motorized vehicle.

(12) 
Loitering within 25 feet of the seasonal skate park facility when the facility is closed.
