A. 
The Ridgewood Green Team, a group of residents dedicated to the sustainability of the Village of Ridgewood, is hereby established as an advisory committee to the Ridgewood Village Council.
B. 
The Ridgewood Green Team shall be a subcommittee of the Ridgewood Environmental Advisory Committee (REAC).
The general purposes for the REAC Ridgewood Green Team subcommittee shall include, but not be limited to:
A. 
Facilitating the successful completion of the requirements for certification of Sustainable Jersey and pursue the goals and objectives of Sustainable Jersey.
B. 
Educating and encouraging all Village residents, employees, and businesses to participate in green initiatives.
C. 
Collaborating with public and private green teams and green committees to ensure the replication of best practices and to ensure a coordinated effort in the Village of Ridgewood and its neighboring communities.
A. 
The Village Council of the Village of Ridgewood shall appoint nine members to serve as the Ridgewood Green Team. This membership shall include three members of the Ridgewood Environmental Advisory Committee (REAC), and one member of the staff of the Village of Ridgewood, all of whom shall be voting members.
B. 
The Ridgewood Green Team shall elect from among its members a Chair, a Vice Chair, and a Secretary.
C. 
A member of the Village Council shall be appointed as a liaison to the Ridgewood Green Team, who shall be a nonvoting member.
D. 
The Ridgewood Green Team members shall be residents of the Village of Ridgewood, with the exception of the staff member, who may or may not be a resident of the Village of Ridgewood.
E. 
The term of office of the members of the Ridgewood Green Team shall be for staggered three-year terms. Initially, three members, one of which shall be a member of REAC, shall be appointed to a three-year term; three members, one of which shall be a member of REAC, shall be appointed to a two-year term; and two members, one of which shall be a member of REAC, shall be appointed to a one-year term.
F. 
The staff member and the Village Council liaison shall each be appointed for one-year terms.
The Ridgewood Green Team shall meet at least quarterly. Additional meetings of the Ridgewood Green Team may be scheduled by the Chair at his/her discretion.
