There is hereby created a municipal cemetery, referred to as
the "Pinelands Memorial Park and Country Cemetery."
The cemetery shall be managed by the Township Committee and Township Administration with input from the Cemetery Advisory Board established under Chapter
7 of the Township Code.
By resolution, the Township Committee shall set fees associated
with grave pricing, niche pricing, preservation fees, interment fees,
niche engraving and any and all related fees. Such fees may be amended
from time to time by resolution. The resolution establishing fees
shall be kept on file with the Township Clerk and be made available
upon request.
All deeds for any lot of ground in said cemetery to be sold
by the Township shall be signed by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk
under the Corporate Seal, and all moneys received by the Township
shall be paid to the Treasurer of the Township, who shall in time
pay bills contracted by the Township, when countersigned by the Clerk
of the City, and the funds received by said Treasurer shall be placed
to the credit of the Cemetery Fund. The Township shall ensure that
funds are maintained for long-term maintenance of each plot and the
cemetery as a whole.
