No person owning or controlling any property abutting upon two
or more public ways in the Town shall construct or maintain any fence
or other structure at a height greater than three feet, other than
a building; or grow or maintain any hedge, tree or other shrubbery
of a height of more than three feet above the level of the adjoining
way, within 35 feet of the nearest point of the intersection of such
way, so that such hedge, tree, shrub, fence or other structure shall
constitute a traffic hazard by obstructing the open view of travellers
on each abutting way within such distance of 35 feet, the same to
be determined in each case by the selectmen at a public hearing. In
the event of removal of any tree, the cost of removal shall be borne
by the Town.
No person shall park a motor vehicle in an area marked and posted
as a fire lane in the Town. Any person violating this section shall
be fined $10 for each offense. Fire lanes shall be designated by the
chief of the fire department.
