A. 
Pursuant to Local Law No. 8-1993, adopting a revised Albany County Charter, the Legislature is authorized, pursuant to Article 21 thereof, to establish a Human Services Advisory Board to:
(1) 
Offer advice designed to promote and coordinate the delivery of human services by the County;
(2) 
Advise the Legislature with respect to the qualifications of candidates appointed to the positions of administrative heads of the Departments of Social Services, Aging, Residential Health Care Facilities and the Department of Children, Youth and Families, including the Youth Bureau; and

(3) 
Report from time to time to the Legislature and the County Executive on progress in the coordination of the delivery of human services.
B. 
The establishment of the Human Services Advisory Board for said purposes is in the interests of the County.

The Human Services Advisory Board authorized by Article 21 of the Albany County Charter is established for the purposes set forth in said Article 21 and the County Legislature shall appoint members to the Human Services Advisory Board from time to time, with said individuals to serve thereon at the pleasure of the County Legislature.
