In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and to combat
the hazards of snow and ice on the streets and roads of this Borough,
the Borough Manager or other designee as shall be authorized by Borough
Council, in his or her discretion, may declare a snow or ice emergency
(hereinafter referred to as a "snow emergency"). Information on the
existence of a snow emergency shall be given by the Borough through
radio, newspaper, the Borough's website, and/or other available media,
including email blasts. Information regarding the termination of the
emergency shall be given by the use of the same media.
A. A snow emergency may be declared as a result of a snowstorm (defined
as any weather condition in which any accumulation of snow or sleet
greater than two inches has fallen or is predicted to fall, or in
which there has been or is predicted any accumulation of ice).
B. After any snow emergency is declared, it shall be unlawful, at any
time during the continuance of the emergency, for any person:
(1) To park a motor vehicle or to allow a vehicle to remain parked anywhere on any snow emergency route designated in Subsection
B(2), below.
(2) The following are designated as snow emergency routes:
(a)
Valley Road - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 1,160 feet as indicated on map.
(b)
Northfield Drive - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 1,240 feet as indicated on map.
(c)
Hollow Drive - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 1,440 feet as indicated on map.
(d)
New Street - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 670 feet as indicated on map.
(e)
Linden Street - No parking on the north side of the street.
Parking shall be permitted on the south side of the street only from
November 1 of each year until April 30 of the following year.

(f)
Caroline Drive - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 1,184 feet as indicated on map.
(g)
Stevens Street - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 1,930 feet as indicated on map.
(h)
Morris Drive - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 432 feet as indicated on map.
(i)
Broad Street - No parking both sides of the street; no parking
for 1,110 feet as indicated on map.
(j)
Madison Court - No parking for 118 feet as indicated on map.
(k)
Olde Meadow Court - No parking for 201 feet as indicated on
map.
(l)
Franklin Drive - No parking for 392 feet as indicated on map.
C. Violations of Subsection
B shall be subject to the penalties set forth in §
116-40 of this article.
In order to assist operators of motor vehicles in determining the highways affected by this article, there shall be placed, on signs on the roads and streets designated in §
116-37B(2), above, signs reading as follows:
