The Town Clerk of Ashford shall receive a salary to be fixed
by the legislative body of the Town in lieu of all fees and other
compensation provided for in the Connecticut General Statutes. The
Town Clerk shall collect those fees and compensation set by statute
and shall deposit all such money thus collected in accordance with
the provisions of law governing the deposit of moneys belonging to
the Town.
