The Town of Ashford hereby creates a board to be known as the
"Ashford Water Pollution Control Authority" to exercise the powers
conferred by Chapter 103 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The
Authority shall consist of five members, who will serve without compensation
and who will be appointed by the chief executive officer of the Town.
Upon the adoption of this chapter, the First Selectman shall appoint
five electors of the Town to initial terms of five, four, three, two
and one year(s), with each succeeding appointee appointed to a full
five-year term. Members of the Authority may, upon hearing before
the Board of Selectmen, be removed for cause, including but not limited
to failure to discharge the duties of the office.
