As used in this chapter, the following words, "1.3 G fireworks,"
"consumer distributor," "consumer fireworks," "consumer fireworks
display," "consumer display," "consumer operator," "consumer retailer,"
"display fireworks," "flame effect," "lead pyrotechnic operator,"
"person," "pyrotechnic display," and "special effects fireworks" shall
have the meanings as set forth in 425 ILCS 35/1 or any successor or
amendatory sections or language to the state statute that may be adopted
from time to time.
No person shall knowingly possess, offer for sale, expose for
sale, sell at retail, use or explode any display fireworks, flame
effects, or consumer fireworks, or conduct a pyrotechnic display,
except unless having first obtained any and all applicable permits
as required by the Fireworks Use Act (425 ILCS 35), the Pyrotechnic
Distributor and Operating Licensing Act (225 ILCS 227), and the rules
and regulations of the office of State Fire Marshal.
Any person who shall violate any provisions of §
1328-2 shall be issued a citation in accordance with §
100-20 of the Village Code. Each day in which any such violation shall continue shall be deemed as a separate offense.
