A code regulating and controlling the location and construction,
alteration and operation of swimming pools; the issuance of permits
to locate and construct, alter or operate swimming pools; and declaring
and defining certain swimming pools as nuisances and fixing penalties
for violations is hereby adopted pursuant to N.J.S. 26:3-69.1 et seq.
A copy of the code is annexed to this chapter and made a part of it
without inclusion of the text.

The code established and adopted by this chapter is described and commonly known as Chapter
11 of the New Jersey State Sanitary Code, "Public Recreational Bathing, 2000."

Three copies of Chapter
11 of the New Jersey State Sanitary Code, "Public Recreational Bathing, 2000" have been placed on file in the offices of the Secretary of the Board of Health and the Township Clerk for the use and examination of the public.

No person shall locate and construct, alter or operate a swimming
pool until a permit therefore shall have been issued by the Board
of Health.

The following fees and charges are herewith established:
a. For the issuance of a permit for a new public swimming pool: $300.
b. For the issuance of a permit to alter a swimming pool: $300.
c. For the issuance or renewal of a pool operator permit: $300 annually.

Permits issued for the operation of a swimming pool shall expire
annually on December 31 of each year, and application for renewal
thereof shall be submitted, together with the required fee, of $300
prior to March 1 of each year.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter
BH1, Section
1-2.
