Upon request of any other municipal jurisdiction with whom the
Township of Gloucester has not entered into an intermunicipal reciprocal
police assistance agreement pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156.1, the
Police Department shall endeavor to provide such aid as may be required,
in manner consistent with the terms of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156.
The Township Council of the Township of Gloucester may, from
time to time, authorize by ordinance the Township to enter into such
intermunicipal police assistance agreements permitted by N.J.S.A.
40A:14-156.1. The Police Department shall comply with the terms of
such intermunicipal police assistance agreements as in effect at the
time.
At the direction of the Mayor, the Chief of Police shall furnish
the respective governing body with a summary report of services rendered
and received with his or her comments and recommendations.
