Real estate registry. A real estate registry shall continue to be maintained by the City as established under and pursuant to the provisions of the Third Class City Code, 53 P.S. § 35101 et seq.

In addition to the filing of a real estate registry slip at City Hall, any person, firm or corporation, whether he/she or it is principle, agent or an employee, is responsible for checking to ensure that any moneys due to the City of Bradford for water, sewage and garbage are paid and the provisions of the Code Enforcement Ordinance (Ordinance General File No. 3161)[1] have been complied with and the required fee, as set from time to time by resolution of the City Council, has been paid, either before or contemporaneously with the closing of any real estate transaction within the City of Bradford.
Any person, firm or corporation, whether he/she or it is principal, agent or employee, who or which shall violate any provision of this chapter commits a summary offense and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 or to imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both
