The provisions of this article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or
official traffic control device.

A. No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIII (§
237-47), made a part of this chapter.
B. No person shall park a vehicle at any time at or upon any of public buildings, locations or lots described in Schedule XXV (§
237-59), except as otherwise set forth therein.
C. Resident parking shall be permitted by permit at Village-owned locations
designated in Schedule XXV, in accordance with regulations promulgated
by the Village Clerk, subject to approval by the Village Board.

No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV (§
237-48), made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XV (§
237-49), made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XVI (§
237-50) on any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVII (§
237-51) on any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVIII (§
237-52) on any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XIX (§
237-53) at any time between the hours listed in said schedule on any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, made a part of this chapter.
The locations described in Schedule XX (§
237-54), made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as reserved for those vehicles bearing an approved identification certificate or marker or license plate indicating that the driver or occupant is handicapped.

No person shall park on a Village street in a manner that blocks
all, or a portion of, a driveway curb cut or, in the absence thereof,
an otherwise identifiable access point to a driveway or parking area.

No person shall park a motor vehicle on a Village street within
five feet of a fire hydrant.
It shall be unlawful for any person to stand
or park any commercial vehicle or other tractor, trailer or tractor-trailer
combination, having a gross weight in excess of that prescribed, upon
any of the streets or portions thereof described. This section shall
not apply to or prohibit the standing or parking of emergency vehicles
or public utility vehicles and shall not apply to the vehicles of
persons actively engaged in the repair, maintenance, construction
or reconstruction of property in front of or across from which such
vehicles are parked during regular business hours.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XXII (§
237-56), made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated, and then only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.

No person shall park on a motor vehicle on any sidewalk within
the Village.

No person shall park a motor vehicle on a Village street such
that the front of the vehicle faces into the oncoming travel lane.

No person shall park a motor vehicle on a Village street in
such a manner that a second vehicle is between the operator's vehicle
and the curb or street line.

No person shall park a motor vehicle in a designated fire zone.
The locations described in Schedule XXIII (§
237-57), made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XXIV (§
237-58), made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.

237-61), made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as streets/locations on which parking shall be permitted on an alternate side of the street basis.
