No person or persons shall exhibit for money
any moving picture or motion picture show, exhibition or performance
in the Village, except any municipal department or organization or
any charitable or fraternal organization, without first procuring
from the Administrator Clerk a license therefor. The Clerk of the Village
is hereby empowered to issue such license to the person only applying
therefor after the same has been granted by the Village Board. The
license fee shall be $50 for six months or any part thereof and $100
for one year for each and every place wherein such show, exhibition
or performance shall be conducted. The applicant shall certify that
the same building or place of exhibition conforms to all state and
local or municipal fire and safety laws or ordinances. Every such
license shall be signed by the Administrator Clerk.
All recognized charitable, religious or educational
institutions, associations or corporations or any municipal departments
giving any public performance, dance, etc. for the purpose of raising
funds to further the objects of such educational institutions, associations
or corporations shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter.

Any person, corporation or association violating
any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punishable by a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $250. Each
day that a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
