Notwithstanding anything hereinabove contained,
the Mayor of the Township of Saddle Brook or any legally constituted
municipal agency of the Township may issue a permit for the possession
or consumption of alcoholic beverages in any designated park or other
public place under its jurisdiction at the designated time or times
in connection with a special event which shall have been authorized
by the Mayor or other legally constituted municipal body or agency
having the authority to issue such permits.
Any person violating any of the provisions of
this article shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding
$200 or by imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, or both, in the discretion
of the court.

This article shall not apply to nonprofit organizations
and corporations, which shall be exempt from the provisions of this
article.
