No person, persons or corporation shall bring,
store, sell, deliver or distribute, or cause to be brought, stored,
sold or delivered, within the limits of the Township of Saddle Brook,
any ice for domestic use or cooling purposes within said Township
which shall have been formed or produced by the freezing of unwholesome,
impure or contaminated water or water the use of which would be injurious
to health, and no person or persons or corporation shall, within or
without the limits of the Township of Saddle Brook, cut, harvest or
in any way obtain any ice intended for domestic use or cooling purposes
within said Township of Saddle Brook in or from any river, stream,
lake or other body of water, the waters of which are unwholesome,
impure or contaminated or the use of which would be injurious to health.
This article shall not be construed to prohibit
the selling or delivery of impure ice to be used for packing or cooling
purposes only when such impure ice is used only and exclusively in
refrigerators, refrigerator coils, freezing machines or other places
where it will be impossible for such ice to come in contact with any
article of food or drink.
Any person or persons or corporation using or intending to use impure ice for the purposes provided in §
157-87 shall first obtain from the Division of Health or its proper officer a written permit to use such impure ice for the purposes aforesaid and for no other purpose.
