Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:67-16.1, the streets
or parts of streets as described in Schedule VII attached to and made
a part of this chapter are hereby designated as routes for trucks
over four tons. All trucks having a total combined gross weight plus
load in excess of four tons shall be excluded from all streets except
from those streets which form a part of the system of truck routes.

Except as otherwise provided by the exclusionary
statute N.J.S.A. 40:67-16.2, the similar exceptions provided for in
N.J.S.A. 39:4-197.18, case law set forth in Pivnick v. City of Newark,
14 NJ Super 134 (1951), and consistent with the New Jersey Department
of Transportation Guide for Preparation of Traffic Ordinances, trucks
and/or tractor/trailers having a total or combined length of 49 feet
or over shall be excluded from the streets or parts of streets described
in Schedule VIIA attached to and made a part of this chapter.
