All bartenders, that is, persons who dispense alcoholic beverages, including owners, operators or employees, working in business establishments holding a plenary retail consumption license shall, prior to commencement of employment, be fingerprinted under the supervision of the Department of Police of the Village of Ridgewood at such time and place as shall be designated by the Chief of Police, and said fingerprints shall be filed with the Department. Bartenders who are currently employed at the time of the adoption of this article shall be fingerprinted within 10 days of the final passage and publication of this article.
Identification cards shall be issued by the Police Department to all bartenders. Said card shall be valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance. The fee for said card shall be as set forth in Chapter 145, Fees.
The Department of Police shall establish a form to be completed by persons required to be fingerprinted. Among other things, the form shall require the current name, address, home telephone number, date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, personal identification information and such other details as the Department of Police shall determine to be consistent with the purposes of this article.
Each person licensed hereunder shall advise the Department of Police within 24 hours of any change or amendment to the information set forth on the form. Persons required to be licensed shall have available at the licensed premises the identification card issued by the Department of Police and shall exhibit same upon request by any police officer or alcoholic beverage control officer. While the person required to be licensed is working in the licensed premises, the identification card shall be available and on public display.
No licensee shall employ any person required to be fingerprinted hereunder until an identification card has been issued to the bartender by the Department of Police.
The identification card shall be revocable by the Department of Police for any violation of the rules and regulations of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control or any inaccurate or false statement made by the applicant on the application form.
