There shall be a Department of Recreation, the head of which shall be the Director of Recreation, who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. His or her compensation shall be upon the terms and provisions of the Salary Ordinance of the Township.
The Director of Recreation shall have a degree from a recognized college or university or employment experience in an executive or administrative position reasonably related to the duties of the position.
The Director of Recreation shall supervise and direct the work of the Department of Recreation and its employees, and shall plan, promote, organize and administer a comprehensive recreation program for the Township, and keep all records required and perform such other duties and responsibilities as the Mayor or Business Administrator may require.
