This article shall be titled the "Brigantine Public Boat Ramp Ordinance."
The purpose of this article is to regulate the use of that City property
located on the bay at 6th Street South, in order that the facilities thereon
may be safely used for the recreational benefit of the general public.
The area described in §
111-16 above shall be divided into a senior citizen area, a public boat ramp area and a public rowing sports area, each area being separately and clearly marked.
No person shall, upon any such lands, engage in, conduct or carry on
any business, trade or occupation whatsoever, nor solicit nor take orders
for goods, wares and merchandise, carry or expose advertising signs, distribute
circulars, pamphlets or other printed matter, nor beg nor solicit alms.
No person shall be permitted to dress or undress on the docks, ramp
or parking area, or in any vehicle parked thereon.
No person shall be permitted to play ball, paddle tennis or engage in
other activities dangerous to or constituting a nuisance to the users of the
facility.
No person shall set up, post or maintain any sign or advertising matter
upon or over said lands or upon vessels or objects floating or stationed in
the waters or in the air above or adjacent thereto.
No person shall in any way litter the facility or cast any waste material,
paper, trash, rubbish or any other matter thereon.
No person shall block or impede the public boat ramp beyond a reasonable
time required to launch or recover a boat.
No person shall discharge any oil, gasoline or other chemical substance
upon the facility or the adjacent waters.
No person shall maneuver any vehicle or vessel on or adjacent to the
facility in any manner that may endanger the life, safety or property of any
other user of the facility or of the public.
This article shall be enforced by members of the Police Department and
auxiliary police of the City of Brigantine.
