All improved properties situate in the City of Brigantine shall hereafter be required to have clearly designated thereon the street number on which such properties are located.
The number shall correspond with that number for the property shown on the Official Tax Map of the City of Brigantine in the office of the Assessor.
The individual numbers and the street number shall be not less than two inches high or more than five inches high and shall be painted on or affixed to the building on the side thereof facing the street or affixed independently of the building to a sign, where permitted.

Any person or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction in the Municipal Court of the City of Brigantine, be punished for each offense by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both, and each day on which said violation exists shall be considered a separate offense.
