The Board of Trustees of the Village of Mamaroneck hereby adopts
this chapter deemed by it necessary and proper for the preservation
of life and health in the Village of Mamaroneck.
All plumbing, plumbing systems and drainage systems utilized
in the Village shall be executed in accordance with the New York State
Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and approved by the Building
Inspector or his deputies.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
DRAINAGE SYSTEM
That part of a plumbing system which conveys sewage, rainwater
or other liquid wastes, and which includes soil pipes, waste pipes,
stormwater drains and subsoil drains. See definition of "plumbing
system."
PLUMBING
The practice, materials and fixtures used in the installation,
maintenance, extension and alteration of piping, fixtures, appliances
and appurtenances in connection with any of the following: sanitary
drainage or storm drainage systems, the attendant vent systems and
the water supply systems, within or adjacent to any building or structure,
to their connections with public systems or other approved terminals.
PLUMBING SYSTEM
The water supply system, the drainage system, the vent system,
fixtures and traps, including their respective connections, devices
and appurtenances within the property lines of the premises.
