The office of Township Manager is hereby created by the Board of Supervisors,
subject to the right to abolish said office at any time by ordinance.
The Manager will be chosen on the basis of executive and administrative
abilities, with special reference to training and experience in municipal
management and to the duties of the office as set forth in this chapter.
Before entering upon the duties of the office, the Manager shall give
a bond to the Township with a bonding company as surety, as set by the elected
Auditors of the Township, and the premium for said bond shall be paid by the
Township.
Should the Manager become ill or disabled or otherwise
need to be absent from the Township, the Assistant Manager, or other person
designated by the Board of Supervisors, shall perform the duties of the Manager.
