No person shall possess and/or consume in an open bottle, open can, glass, cup or other open container any beer, wine or other alcoholic beverage on the public streets, on the sidewalks, on the beach, on the boardwalk, in the public parks or in any other public place, including but not limited to, any automobile, bicycle or any other vehicle which is traveling, stopped or parked on any public street or in any other public place within the Borough of Spring Lake.[1]

Any duly licensed premises for the sale and consumption of beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages shall not be considered a "public place" for the purposes of this article.
Any person violating this article shall upon conviction be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty.
