No person shall conduct, exhibit or cause to be conducted or exhibited any circus, carnival, exhibition, show or performance, or any concession or refreshment stand in conjunction therewith, without a license as hereinafter provided, except any amateur show, performance or exhibition.
A. 
Issuance. The Mayor, through the Chief of Police, shall issue all licenses required in § 155-1.
B. 
Information required. Any person desiring a license shall file a written application therefor with the Chief of Police, which shall state:
(1) 
The name and address of the applicant.
(2) 
The period of time for which the license is required.
(3) 
The kind and character of the exhibition or show.
(4) 
The place where the exhibition or show is to be conducted.
(5) 
Such other information as may be required by the Mayor or Chief of Police.
C. 
Grounds for refusal. The Mayor may refuse to issue a license when, in his judgment, the exhibition or show is likely to disturb the peace and order of the city.
D. 
Fees. The license fees which shall be paid prior to issuance of the license shall be as follows:
(1) 
Circuses: $150 per day.
(2) 
Carnivals, exhibitions, shows and performances: $100 per day.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I, Penalties, of this Code.
