The office of Ordinance Officer is hereby established in and for the Borough of Wilkinsburg. The Ordinance Officer shall be appointed from time to time by the Borough Council, shall serve at the pleasure of the Council and shall receive such compensation as shall be fixed by the Council from time to time. The Ordinance Officer shall enforce the ordinances of the borough, except for such ordinances for which the enforcement authority shall be vested, by ordinance or by direction of Council, in another individual, shall make information for any infraction of the ordinances enforced by him or her and shall perform such other duties as may be vested in him or her by the Borough Council.

The Borough Engineer shall be required to refrain from rendering professional services and plans to any party or person other than the borough in any case where the subsequent approval of Council is required or where the advice of the Engineer may be important in determining the propriety of a proposed development.
