fees charged by the Borough of Wilkinsburg. This list was compiled
from legislation of the Borough of Wilkinsburg and is not a complete
list of all fees charged by the borough. For enabling provisions and

(4) All requirements under this section shall hereby be considered fire operational permits in the requirements set forth by the 2009 International Fire Code subject to fees set by Council in Chapter

(5) Permit time limitations. All permits granted pursuant to the 2009
IFC or other authority for issuing permits and requiring a time limit
shall hereby have a time limit of one year from date of issuance.

The following is a list of additional fees not
enacted in conjunction with a specific Code chapter or section:
A. Tax certifications: $35.

C. Municipal service fee.

(1) The
annual municipal service fee assessed by the Borough of Wilkinsburg
for the collection and disposal of garbage, rubbish and recyclable
material, as provided by law, shall be $200 for each dwelling unit
and $200 for each dwelling unit within a structure containing more
than one dwelling unit. The annual municipal service fee shall be
assessed on January 1 of the calendar year for which the service is
being provided and shall be due on June 30 of that calendar year.

(2) Penalty
on delinquent accounts; administrative fee.

(a) A penalty of 5% shall be applied on July 1 on all accounts which
have not been paid in full by June 30 of the calendar year.
(b) Commencing in calendar year 2014, and continuing every year thereafter,
an administrative fee of 6% shall be applied to the outstanding balance
of each account for the prior year's municipal service fee after the
delinquent accounts are turned over to the delinquent tax collector
for continued collection efforts.
(3) At
the time of paying the fee, the property owner or agent shall certify
in writing the number of dwelling units within each structure and
multiply the number of said dwelling units by the annual rate to determine
the total fee amount, plus penalty and interest, if any. Any person
providing false information to the Borough concerning the number of
dwelling units within each structure, or otherwise, shall be in violation
of this ordinance and shall be subject to the penalty provisions specified
in Section 11 of Ordinance No. 2290.
(4) If
an owner does not make a timely payment, the Borough may collect such
fees from the rents due from tenants, as authorized by law for the
collection of real estate taxes.

The following fees shall be established to be
assessed by the Tax Collector in the administration of her duties
of the Tax Collector of the Borough of Wilkinsburg:
A. Check returned for nonsufficient funds: $25.
B. Request for duplicate bills: $2.
C. Request for uncertified tax information: $15.
D. Information to be faxed: $1 per page
E. Copies of other information: $1 per page.
